Cool ladies

Good morning everyone!

I hope everyone had a fantastic week! I know that I did :) Sometimes I dont realise how much I am blessed each week with the people we have that we are working with. But as we accounted for this past weeks efforts, I was brought to a rememberance of how blessed each of us really are. The Lord is definitely merciful.

This week we had two investigators and eight less-active members at church! The Lord has blessed us so much with having people at church and teaching. It has become somewhat of a norm for me, but then I remember Cwmbran when we hardly got anyone at church for the 4.5 months. No bueno. But the Lord has blessed us so much here. I can definitely see His tender mercies in this work. The ward members here are the best! They always make sure that they introduce themselves to the new people at church and make them feel welcomed. Its apparent to see when a ward is missionary oriented because they try their best to tell their friends about the gospel and ask how they can help us. If you couldnt already tell, I love Wolverhampton! haha

Anywaysss, so we met a couple really cool people this week. The first lady is Nikki. We knocked on her door and talked to her about the Gospel and how Christ can help her and her family. We talked about the Plan of Salvation with her and related the Book of Mormon in the conversation. She asked how she can make sure that her kids are safe and well taken care of and what sort of things she needs to teach them so that they can have the best when they become adults. We read a couple scriptures with her and invited her to read Mosiah 4...I love that chapter. She was excited to read and have us come around again!

So that was cool lady number 1. Cool lady number 2 is Nicole. We also knocked on her door on the morning of the Royal Wedding. Thank goodness though thay she isnt a royalist so she wasnt watching the wedding haha Anyways, she told us how she just started her search for the true church. Interestingly enough, she said what started this search was her observation of the increasingly number of Musilms in this country. She wanted to know if maybe that was the true religion, so she started to look into all different denominations of religions. She agrees that because there is one God that there has to be one true faith and church. We talked to her briefly about Joseph Smith and how/why we have the Book of Mormon. She practically asked to have one! haha She seemed really excited to read the introduction and more. So, cool thing about her is that she used to live in California and work for Warner Brothers. She moved back here to England and now works indirectly still for Warner Bros. Does anyone know who Marvin the Martian is? Well she is the vocie for him! Cool eh?! haha I think so. She is really good at impersonating different accents, so when I spoke, she changed her accent to American and vice versa when my English companion spoke haha So Im excited for our return appointments with these two people!

So today for pday, we are going to this Royal Air Force Museum with a family from the ward. Im pretty excited! It should be cool. Some other missionaries in our district went a while back and said it was awesome! They have some hugee planes there! Which means, picture time hahaha

Time for a quick spiritual thought! haha
So there is this scripture that has been my "theme" scripture for the transfer; I have its reference written on the front of my planner. Its found in 1 Timothy 6:11-12. Paul is talking about how we should desire righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience and meekness. All attributes of our Saviour. We should "fight the good fight of faith"!! We have all been chosen, every person on this planet, to be partakers of eternal life. It is just up to us to choose to have eternal life instead of death. If we try our best all the time to be like our Redeemer, we can realise our true potential, we can use the Atonement to its fullest, and lastly, we can be exalted on High. I know this to be true. We were put on this earth to fight the good fight of faith; to be tested and tried, but to come off conqueror(sp?). I know that this church is true! The Book of Mormon has power. It is Another Testament of Jesus Christ, a volume of Holy scripture from our Heavenly Father to give us further guidence in the latter-days.

I challenge everyone to seek after righteousness this week be being worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost.
Love you all! Take it easy...
