Senior week!!

Hiya everyone!

First off, I want to tell yall about the morning we've had thus far. We came to the library on time for email, but when we tried to lock our bikes up, Elder Cadwallader's lock broke. We stood there for like 10 minutes trying to fix it but nothing worked. So we headed over to the bike shop to get a new lock. When we explained the situation they said there was a guarentee on it so they just gave us a new one! That made him happy. Then we came all the way back to email, but all the computers were taken. So we went to Asda to buy groceries. While in there, we recognised the song that was playing but I couldnt remember who the band was. Side story real quick: I miss music soooo much and I hate it how I cant think of certain lyrics to some of my favorite songs or even the bands I listened to! Its made me really frustrated haha Okay, back to this morning...We went to check out and I asked the cashier who the band is of the song and it was Maroon 5! Ahh, it made me happy haha

Anywayyysss, so this week was alright. Elder Cadwallader made me do a senior week this week so that was interesting. I had to pretty much plan for every dad of the week and what we were doing each day. It wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. What made me the happiest though is that finally an area that I chose for us to go tracting in was actually a successful area! It was a street called St. Andrew's Close. We found a couple good people in there, but havent gotten a solid return appointment yet. And some of them have funky shifts at work so its a little hard to catch them in. This one woman seemed really interested in our message and took a Book of Mormon and made a return appointment for the next day. Upon our arrival though, we noticed that she had put the book in a plastic bag with a note stating she wasnt really interested and for us not to call by again. Its was heartbreaking, but I guess thats better that us going back many times just to be ignored.

Nothing else really happened during the week for us here in Cwmbran, just lots of rain, cloudy skies and tracting haha One teaching experience we did have this week was at an inactive member's home. He has not been to church in 16 years and we ran into him on the street about a month ago. He still remembers the church and keeps his patriarchal blessing near to him, but he stopped going because he got bored of the lessons. Kind of a lame excuse but its what he said. We watched the Restoration DVD with him and his partner so that went well. After the movie, his partner started asking lots of question pertaining to the Plan of Salvation. We taught her the second half of the lesson and will teach her the rest this coming wednesday! And the best part of that is that the inactive was getting excited during the lesson because he knew all the answers to the questions haha

On saturday, we went to Newport for a baptism. The Elders in Newport got a baptism!! The first one in our district for a while! It was was exciting to see someone get baptised. I just hope that we can find someone to teach and get progressing so that another soul will be brought to our Heavenly Father.

So this week will be the last week of this transfer. We will know this next monday if we are getting transfered or not. I really dont know whats going to happen because ive had both feelings that im leaving and staying so beats me haha My next pday will be next wednesday so I will let everyone know then whats goin down.

Spiritual thought for the week: I was flipping though my scriptures this past week and found 3 really good scriptures that I think everyone should look up. They are all in the Doctrine and Covenants...42:61, 90:24 and 123:17. They all relate to how we should live our lives and receive blessings from God. We should always rely on our savior Jesus Christ. He is the light and the life of the world. Everything good thing we receive is because of His atonement! I love him so much. I believe these scriptures will help each and every one of us endure to the end and get the blessings we want.

I hope you all had the opportunity to pray for a missionary experience this past week! If anyone did, I would love to hear about them! Love you all,

-Elder Jaquish
