Hey yall! I guess I better start practising my southern accent again since my time here in England is growing short haha jk
Sorry my email will be slightly short due to a shortage of time haha
This past week was once again, brillant! Every day, it seems like, we are receiving blessing upon blessing! We met some really nice people who we have return appointments with. Also, we are still having success with our plan of trying by former investigators and knocking on the doors around them. Here is an update on the people we are teaching:
Theo and Diana: We took Bro. Mawle (WML) and taught Theo on Saturday and shared acts 19 to resolve his baptism concern. Bro. Mawle did a good job of helping Theo realise that he needs to pray and ask God what to do. Diana was in London, but Theo really enjoyed the lesson.
Jan: has been dodging us, in a way. We have tried calling him all this week and stopping by his house, and no contact. We don't know whats up. Its sad though :(
Dave and Carrie Ann: Weren't able to see them. They are just really busy! We will hopefully have a teach with them this week. Our lessons are really helping them though.
The less-active work is slowing down a bit. Some of them just don't want to progress and others are doing amazing! We are just trying to focus on finding new investigators.
Our biggest miracle for the week happened yesterday. A member called Sister England brought her granddaughter to church. Her name is Amy and she is in her 20s. She is at a point in her life right now where she needs guidance and understanding. We gave her a blessing after church and she started to cry a bit. She just looked really happy and at peace. Amy said that she will come to church next Sunday for the full 3 hours and then will decided if she wants us to teach her. I have full confidence that once again she will feel the spirit and ask us to teach her and hopefully help her towards baptism!!!! She is so cool though.
I know that this work is true. It is a privilege to be working for a loving Heavenly Father who knows us each individually.
Godbless,
-Elder Jaquish
