Hiya everyone!
Oh goodness, this past week was amazing! I know I say that a lot but we are truly being blessed! I'll start from the beginning of the week and go onward...
Monday and Tuesday were good. Nothing too exciting happened. Wednesday was alright until after our ward missionary coordination meeting. We went to try by this less-active, of which didn't answer her door. So we went back towards the direction that we came from and tried by someone else...no answer. We then decided to stop at this corner and make a few phone calls; we did so. For some reason, we just started talking about how we feel the week has gone thus far and what we could do better. We kinda boosted each others faith and made plans on how to spend the rest of our evening. As we were about to take our leave, we spotted a family walking up the street. We went over and talked to them about how families can benefit greatly from a belief in Jesus Christ. They seemed pretty interested and invited us over to their house the next day to share more. We did so and they are prepared to receive the gospel for their family! Their names are Ryan and Charlotte and they have a baby girl named Summer. Ryan used to work with a member, who set a good example for Ryan. Ryan has wanted to come to church and join it ever since. Both Ryan and Charlotte have accepted the invitation to be baptised when they come to know the restored gospel is true!!! They are golden! So we have a new family to teach :)
Thursday was good. We went on exchange with the Zone Leaders and so I got to go back to Wolverhampton for a day!!! Ah man i miss Wolverhampton haha The exchange was good. We had a really fun time doing some tracting and some teaching. We found this less-active part member family as we were tracting! The man of the household is the member and served a mission in Greece. So that was cool to meet them and set up a return appointment.
Friday was good. Saturday was alright. We went by a potential investigator that Elder Ruesch found Thursday while we were on exchange. Her name in Sandra and she is a single mother. She has seem many miracles happen in her life, which has prepared her to receive the gospel! Anyways, we went by and saw here and she has already read the chapter in the Book of Mormon that the Elders left for her! She is excited for our appointment this week so that she be good! She is also golden! haha
Sunday was very good. David got confirmed!!!! Elder Ruesch did the confirmation and it went well. The prayer was very powerful and David felt anew afterwards. We had a good time after church going through some former investigators and trying by them to see if they want to start learning again. We had some success there! Over and all it was a really good week!
My spiritual thought this week comes from 1 Nephi 20:10 Its so good and can relate to anyone in their life. We each have been chosen to go through some kind of "furness of affliction" special to our lives. It is comforting to know that the Lord is allowing us to have trials so that we can be refined, or made new and better! The Lord never forgets us. We are His children. The Saviour physically cannot forget us because of the marks in his hands and feet. I pray that each one of us can face the next trial in our life with courage and trust that it is for our good.
I hope yall enjoy this week!
Godbless,
Elder Jaquish
