Hello everyone!!
Everything is well here in Wolverhamton! We had our biannual Mission Football yesterday in Birmingham. And of course, the team I was on won, as it usually goes hahahaha But seriously, we won the tournament! We beat all 4 teams by a few goals. The last game was intense though because it started to rain and was really windy, but it soon stopped and the sun came out again. Then the same thing happened again hahah Crazy english weather. It was wayy funn though! And I got some sunburn as well! haha Good stuff.
The past week has been really good, with reguards to tuesday and wednesday. Most of tuesday was spent towards fixing our bikes and stuff, ugh. Then wednesday something funny happened. Well we were on our way to our last appointment for the day. I was riding own this hill on the side of the road as normal. I went to spit to the side of me, but the spit didnt all come out but was just hanging from my mouth (sorry if this is somewhat gross haha). I was paying more attention to not getting my spit on my clothes than where I was going, and at teh last second I looked up and saw a parked car. I tried to swerve out of the way but was successful. So yeahhh, I ran into the back of a parked car....laugh all yall want hahahaha Luckily though, I wasnt going too fast so when I fell forward off my bike I didnt get injured. The car on the otherhand received a small dent and scratch. We left a note on the car to contact the mission office to sort out the insurance and repairs.
The rest of the week wasnt too much better. Some of our investigators dropped us, which is okay because that just means they arent totaly ready yet for the gospel. Plus, there are a lot more people here that are ready, its just up to us to find them! We had a couple good appointments, but nothing too spectacular to share about haha Just that we met this biplar guy who is crazy/funny haha We invited him on the street to be baptised and he accepted! When we went to his house a couple days later to teach him, he just wouldnt stop talking! haha It was like we were having this debate without him letting us state our side! Oh well. Story goes though that he wont give up smoking for Jesus, but he would die on the cross for him. Try to figure out that one...
Sunday was the best! We were able to get an investigator to church and 7 returning members!! Testimony meeting was amazing. It was like member missionary fest this past week. A bunch of members shared stories about how they have been sharing the gospel with their friends!!! It is just so exciting to hear members being excited about doing missionary work! Hopefully within the next week we will be able to get some good referrals from the ward to teach!
Well, I want to end this email by referring to a talk from General Conference. I really liked the talk given by Elder Bednar about receiving revelation. Some people receive revelation all the time in big events, but for most of us, we get it little by little and probably not as frequent. That doesnt mean we are doing anything wrong!!! Elder Bednar gave us some instructions to stay faithful and continue in reading the scriptures daily so that when it is time for us to be prompted to do something, we will be worthy enough to recognise the Holy Ghost and receive revelation.
I am so grateful to be serving my Lord Jesus Christ at this time. There is no other thing that I could be doing right now that is as important as this work. I just encourage all of you to also partake in this work and receive the same blessings that I am so blessed to have each and every day! I love this work, the church is ture!
Oh and just a shoutout to my brother, Justin, this week for his 30th birthday on thursday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO!
Love you all, take care.
